After a long hiatus from this log, I’m finally back! I’m thinking about doing some makeovers here and there on this bit of cyberspace, but still trying to work out some things with my more-tech-minded friends, so we’ll see what we come up with in the next few weeks or so. So, what have I been up to?
Okay, so I took a seven-month break. I know, I know…that really doesn’t work in my favor, does it? After having been crazy-busy for the past ten years, I found that it was high time to do a lot of soul-searching and planning. My friend C has been bugging me about getting this blog up and running. Hopefully, this time is it!
You see, I’ve been steadily “realigning” my life during the past 7 months. There were many loose ends to tie, a million goals to plan out, career moves to make, and well, er, moments of vegging to enjoy.
A lot of times, when we women are neck-deep in work, we hardly see exactly where it is we’re going or whether our efforts are taking us where we ultimately want to go. I’ve never believed in the power of breaks until I took one. Don’t get me wrong; I didn’t exactly have the luxury of doing NOTHING. But, making the conscious effort to evaluate, examine, and enjoy is absolutely life-changing. Tired as the advice may be, I would definitely recommend for everyone to take time to smell the roses—yes, even with a planner bursting at the seams. If that’s just not possible, then streamline. It’ll be worth it!
